Hector Barbossa is the main enemy in Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl he has kidnapped Elizabeth Swann.He also has Piece of Eight, used in Pirates of the Caribbean:At World's End, which his Piece of Eight was Ragetti's wooden eye.In Curse of the Black Pearl he has the Moon curse, which at night in the moonlight you turn into an undead skeleton.

Pirate life[]
He was first mate on the Black Pearl on its journey to Isla De Muerta. And led the mutiny against Jack Sparrow after he told him where the island is. Along with his new crew he removed the 882 aztec gold pieces and became cursed, Also sending Bootstrap Bill down to the depths but not long after learning they needed his blood to remove the curse.
In Dead Man's Chest,? Tia Dalma? ressurects him, so he may help? Will Turner,? Elizabeth Swann? and the crew bring Jack back from Davy Jones's Locker.
In On Stranger Tides he becomes a privateer in the Royal Navy, he got enrolled when the Pearl sunk and he lost his leg.
